Old City of Casablanca
Though the old city of Casablanca may not possess the same charm or exoticism as the medinas of Fez or Marrakech, it still hides many discoveries within its labyrinthine alleys. Typical merchants offer their wares here, creating a unique atmosphere. Despite its worn and fragmented appearance, this neighborhood breathes with residential authenticity, making it the perfect place to grasp the rhythm of local life. At the southern end of the medina, mysterious Koubbas (shrines) also stand tall, bearing witness to a storied past. Completely destroyed by the Lisbon earthquake in 1755, the medina was rebuilt in 1770. Its surrounding ramparts create a striking setting for exploration.

Hassan II Mosque
Experience the magic of Casablanca by heading to the coastline, where just beyond the northern tip of the medina rises the majestic Hassan II Mosque—an architectural marvel. Completed in 1993, it ranks as the fourth-largest mosque in the world, covering 9 hectares and boasting the tallest minaret on the planet at 201 meters. Its prayer hall can host 25,000 worshippers, while the spacious courtyard—with its retractable roof—accommodates an additional 80,000 visitors. Every inch of this magnificent structure is adorned with dazzling decoration, a testament to the refinement of Moroccan craftsmanship. Towering majestically by the ocean, its location is nothing short of breathtaking. Visitors from all walks of life can explore this wonder through guided tours offered several times daily from the mosque’s west entrance. Don’t miss this captivating experience!
Cathedral of the Sacred Heart
Step into history with this timelessly elegant church built in the 1930s. Its architecture gracefully blends Gothic and Art Deco elements, offering a visually stunning harmony. While the past decades have left their mark on its appearance, the structure still radiates its original splendor. Nearby stands the majestic Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, erected 24 years later, anchoring history in stone. Allow yourself to be drawn in by the allure of the vast public garden and park of the Arab League—a peaceful oasis waiting to be explored. Come and discover these treasures, where every corner has a story to tell.
La Sqala Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Casablanca’s vibrant energy, La Sqala strikes a perfect balance between tradition and modernity. This heritage gem, steeped in history, transports you on a sensory journey filled with the aromas of spices and the melodies of Andalusian music. More than just a restaurant, La Sqala is an enchanting retreat: a place to savor authentic Moroccan cuisine, stroll through lush gardens, or host unforgettable private or professional events. Every visit becomes an immersive experience—an encounter with the living soul of Casablanca.
Habous Quarter
Immerse yourself in a unique side of the White City, just waiting to be explored. Imagined and built by the French between 1918 and 1955, the Habous quarter was designed as a new-generation medina. It offers a striking fusion of Morocco’s ancient city heritage with modern touches—wider streets and upgraded amenities. The charm of traditional markets adds rich color to the area, while its crown jewel is the Royal Palace, a marvel that will engage all your senses as you wander. Come discover a world where tradition and innovation meet, offering you an unforgettable panorama of the city’s spirit.
Central Market
Dive into the vibrant heart of Casablanca by visiting its iconic Central Market! Located in the very center of the city, this market is where locals gather to exchange far more than just goods—including authentic Moroccan babouches. It’s a paradise for photography enthusiasts and a guaranteed thrilling experience for all!

Ain Diab Beach
Discover Ain Diab Beach in Casablanca—your luxurious seaside escape! Just minutes from the city center, this coveted area is a true haven of relaxation and entertainment. Enjoy gourmet experiences at upscale restaurants, sip cocktails at prestigious hotels, or simply soak in the coastal lifestyle at its finest. Trendy locals gather here to revel in seaside pleasures. Dive into the crystal-clear pools of exclusive beach clubs, or relax on a sunbed while ocean breezes lull you into serenity. And when the sun sets, the Corniche lights up—don’t miss the vibrant nightlife that awaits you!
Mahkama of the Pacha
Discover this historic jewel of Casablanca, nestled in the prestigious Habous quarter near the majestic Royal Palace: the Mahkama du Pacha, the former Muslim courthouse that embodies the grandeur of the city. This impressive structure is distinguished by its green-tiled roofs and colossal gateway—true masterpieces of traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. Step into a space where history and culture come alive, with every detail telling a fascinating story. Built between 1941 and 1952 to replace the old Dar-El-Makhzen courthouse in the old medina, this majestic building was designed by French architect Auguste Cadet. The project took eleven years due to challenges in sourcing materials. Cadet ingeniously drew on local resources: hard stones from Ben Slimane and Bouskoura, green tiles and zelliges from Fez, marble from Oued Yquem, cedar wood from Itzer forests, and plaster from Safi. Spanning 6,200 square meters, the structure was erected without iron or cement—an architectural masterpiece of remarkable finesse.
