Ouarzazate
This is the ideal day-trip excursion.
It starts at 07H00/07H30 from the Riad and you'll be back at 19H30.
This excursion will take your through the villages of the Atlas Aït Barka, Tadart, Agouim and then you will stop at the Tichka mointain where lovely pictures can be taken.
30km before Ouarzazate, you will be driven to visit the great Khasba of Ait Ben Haddou ( big berber palace also called a Ksar), wher you'll also stop for lunch (not included).
This Kasbah is about 30 kilometres before Ouarzazate, on a 10 km long minor road, is, and it’s classified universal heritage site by UNESCO: Click here to discover more about Aït Ben Haddou.
Then onwards to the Ouarzazte movie studios just before Ouarzazate, where major Holywood blockbusters were filmed: Gladiator, the Momie etc..
Then, we finish the day at Ouarzazte city and especially at the Khasba Taourirt, old palace of the Pacha El Glaoui in Ourzazate.
A great day of discovery of the High Atlas.
